3rd Party Latency 18-08-2020

Please be aware that some traffic may experience latency outside of the Netnorth network as a result of remote clients’ own internet routing being affected by a catastrophic event in the Equinix LD8 datacentre in London this morning, which experienced a full DC power outage taking many other service providers offline.

Several ISPs are publishing issues with increased latency and packet loss due to rerouted traffic in London and the loss of many broadband endpoints, so you may observe signs of congestion as they reroute your traffic.

This is not at our end, so sadly there’s nothing we can do to mitigate it in the short term.
