At approx 18:43 this evening, we started to receive monitoring alerts to high levels of packet loss to some internet destinations.
After diagnostics, we discovered that these destinations were all via one of our IP Transit suppliers (GTT) – we have shutdown our IP Transit feed to cause re-routing via our alternate paths.
We will liaise with GTT to discover the root cause of the issue – however it is external to our network.
The packet loss issue has resolved itself, and the IP Transit has been brought back into service.
We will await a response from GTT as to the cause.
