*REMINDER* Telephone System Maintenance – 1/Jun/2017

This is just a quick reminder that Vodafone are performing maintenance to our telephone lines from 7pm this evening (UK local time).

Between the window of 7pm-midnight, our emergency support number may not be operational.  Should you be unable to contact us via the emergency support number, we will be closely monitoring our support email system.

As explained previously, this is Vodafone initiated maintenance to facilitate them exiting a legacy exchange (previously operated by United Utilities, Norweb Telecom, Your Communications, and THUS plc. prior to Vodafone) in Bolton where our telephone lines currently originate.

We already have the new fibre in place and a simple loopback test has been carried out by Vodafone.  This evening will see Vodafone install the termination equipment and move and test the actual lines to their own exchange.

We requested that the maintenance be carried out outside of office hours.

  1. Please note: this maintenance does not affect our IP network as our Vodafone data fibre circuits do not traverse the legacy exchange site.

  2. This maintenance is now over and all telephone lines are still working normally.

Unfortunately, Vodafone were unable to complete the transfer over to the new circuit within the maintenance window so will rearrange a future appointment to do this.
